Our Chapter History

The Tucson Chapter was formed in 2007 after a local father researched possible volunteer opportunities for his pre-teen daughter.  He was impressed with National Charity League, Inc. and found that Tucson did not have a local chapter.  He encouraged his wife, Mary Beth Schannep to pursue starting a local chapter.  Mary Beth contacted her dear friends, Kym Slone and Adriana Rincon to get the “ball rolling!”

The National office knew a NCL member from the Sonoran Centennial Chapter had just moved to Tucson and was thrilled to be a part of starting a new Tucson Chapter!  The four women gathered friends with like minded goals and in February of 2007, 25 women signed and chartered the National Charity League, Inc. Tucson Chapter!

The rest is history!
